Guiyang arranges employee recruitment in poverty stricken areas

2020-02-27

Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou province recently organized 12 teams to recruit workers in poverty stricken counties as part of its poverty alleviation efforts and to solve the human resources shortage during the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The teams have posted recruitment information via websites, QQ, and WeChat while organizing officials to introduce the job demands and preferential policies to migrant workers. People who are recruited will be transported to companies in Guiyang by special cars.

Companies taking part in the recruitment are mainly involved in the construction, manufacturing, and online service areas. All the companies will track the 14-day travel history of recruits, check their body temperature, and provide virus prevention training before applicants begin work.

The Guiyang human resources and social security bureau has assigned staff members to learn the demands of companies, as well as to carry out promotion activities in towns and counties.

The bureau will also help employees return to their jobs, adjust labor surplus and shortages among companies, arrange targeted recruitment, as well as promote cross-region collaboration to help companies and job seekers reach cooperation.
