GETDZ gradually resumes operations of malls, markets

Some of the shopping malls and commercial complexes at the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang -- capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- resumed operations on Feb 19 in the wake of a relatively stable situation with the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak, GETDZ officials said.

According to local media reports, the staff members at malls diligently measure the body temperatures of every customer at their entrances.

In addition, customers need to scan a code and complete their information registration on the WeChat official account of "Guizhou 110" before entering a mall.

At present, in accordance with the relevant requirements of the province and the city, the zone is pursuing epidemic prevention and control work and the recovery of economic and social order in an overall way, officials said.

They said it ensuring the safety and health of its people to the maximum extent and minimizing the impact of epidemic prevention and control measures on people's work and daily lives.

The zone will continue to increase the daily inspection of businesses and strengthen supervision and management. Officials said it will make every effort to ensure stable prices and supplies in commerce, ensure the stability of the market and the lives of its residents.

At the same time, the zone will actively provide epidemic prevention materials for young businesses entities in the early stage of their development.

It will continue to help purchase epidemic prevention materials through multi channels, so as to ensure a sufficient reserve of masks, disinfectants, alcohol, thermometers and other materials for business entities – ensuring their safe operation during the epidemic prevention period.
