The 2019 Annual Conference of the International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) was held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Oct 28, with senior politicians, experts, and representatives from different areas gathering in Guiyang to share opinions on the sustainable development of mountain tourism.
The conference provided an opportunity for IMTA members, representatives from countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, representatives from mountain tourism destinations, as well as online tourism service providers and Guizhou's travel agencies to cooperate with each other.
The inauguration ceremony of IMTA's headquarters was held on the same day, which means that Guizhou will have the chance to seek cooperation opportunities on mountain tourism investment and resource assessment.
