Guiyang to hold 2019 city hike

Tens of thousands of citizens will gather at Baiyun and Guanshanhu districts Nov 2 to participate in the 2019 Guiyang city hike, according to a media meeting held in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province, Oct 14.

Reports said the 23-kilometer hike will be hosted by Guiyang Radio and TV Station, the two district governments, Guiyang Municipal Bureau of Sports, and Guiyang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism. 

The hiking route will start from Fanhuali commercial town in Baiyun, and go through several city parks and shopping centers, including Yueshan Lake Park, Wanda Square, Guanshan Lake Park and Donglin Park.

The event organizers will invite sports and internet celebrities to participate. A variety of activities, including interactive games, a Han-style clothing show and gymnastic performances, will be presented along the route.

The commemorative plates for the event feature an administrative map of Guiyang, combining the civilization, fitness and city concept of "the unity of knowing and acting".

Citizens can register online through the official Wechat account of Guiyang Radio and TV Station. The deadline for registration is Oct 28.
