Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Guizhou Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Guiyang Municipal People's Government, the fair's theme will be revitalizing rural areas through agricultural products exports.

It will take full advantage of its nearly 60,000 square meter exhibition area to demonstrate a variety of special products from 56 enterprises in 28 countries and regions, including Germany and Britain.

As a home to one of the only two inland open economic pilot zones in China, Guizhou plans to showcase its achievements in developing mountain agriculture and its industrial reform, as well as its poverty alleviation efforts.

In 2018, Guizhou made great progress in its rural industrial reforms by reducing 7.85 million mu (523,460 hectares) of corn plantations and increasing 6.67 million mu of high-efficiency economical crops.

This year, the province will continue its efforts by formulating quality standards and technical specifications in 12 special industries of tea leaves, edible fungi, vegetables, ecological stock farming, fruits, dendrobe, bamboo, Chinese medicinal herbs, rosa roxburghii, ecological fishery, tea tree oil, and chili.
