ASEAN-Guizhou culture and tourism exhibition kicks off

The ASEAN-Guizhou International Culture and Tourism Exchange Exhibition, which was part of the 2019 ASEAN-China (Guiyang) Belt and Road Culture and Tourism Exchange Week, was held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from Aug 28 to 29.

Participants of the exhibition included 128 enterprises and institutions, as well as 192 exhibitors from ASEAN countries, as well as22 countries and areas involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Three exhibition areas were set up, including a banquet hall for exhibits on tourism, trade, and culture, a corridor for exhibits on education, hotels, medical treatment, aviation, and government departments, as well as an outdoor square for specialties and handicrafts.

This year is the first in Guiyang's integrated development of culture and tourism. The exhibition was also the first one held during the ASEAN-China (Guiyang) Belt and Road Culture and Tourism Exchange Week.

The exhibition was aimed at establishing a trade platform to promote market expansion, project cooperation, as well as industrial development in culture and tourism.

Other activities, such as exchange meetings and the presentation of tourism products, were also held during the ASEAN-China (Guiyang) Belt and Road Culture and Tourism Exchange Week, which lasted from Aug 29.
