Focusing on high-quality development, Southwest China's Guizhou province has taken smart manufacturing as one of its priorities, cultivating a series of local unicorn enterprises, companies that have been founded within 10 years whose estimated value surpasses $1 billion, such as Flexbot Intelligent Technology Co in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

PIX, Flexbot's self-driving project, has been innovative by making robots more flexible and exploring the possibilities of more applications. With 3D printing technology, their customized chassis can be easily made at a low cost and equipped to any type of robot.

The modified robots are Flexbot's featured products. They are lightweight, integrated, and cater to the company's idea of bringing service to people. Yu Chuan, CEO of Flexbot, believes that in the future, people's need for mobile service will exceed that of passenger cars.

Flexbot's flexible manufacturing system meeting mass customization requirements making global giants lose their advantage in small batch manufacturing. So far, the company has received investments from famous venture capital firms in China and America.

With 200,000 euro ($224,045) worth of self-driving garbage trucks to be put into operation in Germany, mobile vending machines to be used in America, and five to 10 self-driving mobile spaces to be built in America, the company has become popular in European and American markets.
