China Taiping Insurance Group Ltd

China Taiping Insurance Group Ltd (which will be referred to as "China Taiping") is a Chinese State-owned financial and insurance group based in Hong Kong. China Taiping Insurance Holdings Company Limited was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2000, making it the first Chinese-funded insurer to be listed overseas. In 2013, China Taiping successfully reorganized and restructured itself.

China Taiping was founded in Shanghai in 1929 as a national insurance brand and has had a long history in the country. Over the course of 88 years, China Taiping has managed to develop into a large transnational financial and insurance group with 470 thousand employees, 24 subsidiaries, nearly 2000 business outlets, and assets totaling 500 billion yuan ($79.02 billion), with its reach extending to many countries and regions around the world, particularly in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, North America, Europe, Oceania, and East and Southeast Asia. It provides clients with one-stop comprehensive financial and insurance services, including everything from life insurance, general insurance, pension insurance, reinsurance, and reinsurance brokerage to Internet insurance, assets management, securities brokerage, financial leasing, real estate investment, and pensions, among other things.
