The Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University

The Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University is over 70 years old and over the course of its existence has established many strong traditions and practices owing to an abundance of renowned doctors, most of whom came from Peking Union Medical College Hospital.

The hospital is classified as a 3A-level Chinese medicine hospital in Guizhou province and integrates medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research. It has 3,000 registered beds, 887 professionals with senior titles, 86 staff with a PhD, 706 staff with a master's degree, and another 54 experts of varying capacity. 

The hospital has 55 clinical departments and 11 medical technical departments, among which 11 are recognized as key provincial disciplines.

In 2017, the emergency department accepted 1.9 million people. Every year the hospital discharges nearly 100,000 patients.

The Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University has ranked first for three consecutive years among hospitals in Guizhou province in an annual list released by the Hospital Management Institute at Fudan University which ranks the comprehensive strength of hospitals in Southwestern China.
