Guizhou International Alcoholic Beverages Expo calls for AI image spokesperson

The 15th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo will be held on Sept 11-13 at the Guiyang International Conference and Exhibition Center.

In a pioneering move to explore the innovative integration of "AI and alcoholic beverage culture", the expo has officially launched a global open call for its first-ever AI image spokesperson.

For the first time in its history, the expo is introducing an AI image spokesperson selection campaign to help spread alcoholic beverage culture through digital technology and create a more tech-savvy, youth-oriented exhibition IP image.

The selected AI image spokesperson will be deployed across multiple scenarios, including opening ceremony interactive sessions, exhibition hall navigation, live online streaming, news broadcasting, and short-video content, serving as the "digital spokesperson" for this year's expo.

According to the requirements, all submitted works must be presented in the form of a digital human or virtual character, integrating Chinese alcoholic beverage culture, the distinctive features of Guizhou's Maotai-flavor baijiu production region, and an international perspective. The design should balance a strong sense of technology with cultural foundation, while also being visually striking, distinctive, and highly approachable.

Participants are required to give their works a recognizable name (in Chinese or English) and provide an explanation of the naming rationale.

Each submission must include a three-view character design (front, side, and back), a dynamic display video (no longer than three minutes), and a detailed design description document. The use of AIGC and other technical tools is encouraged.

This year's selection features an innovative "Douyin popularity voting" mechanism. Participants must publish their design proposals on their personal Douyin accounts, using the hashtag AI Image Spokesperson Call for the China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverages Expo and tagging the expo's official account.

They must also send their design materials to the designated email address: jiubo9expo@163.com. Only after completing both steps will a submission be considered valid.

The judging criteria are based strictly on Douyin platform data, with the following weighting: likes account for 30 percent, comments for 25 percent, shares for 25 percent, and video completion rate for 20 percent; these will be combined to determine the final ranking. The data collection deadline is set for 12 pm on Sept 5. Participants must submit a screenshot of their detailed performance data page to the designated email by noon on Sept 6.

For prizes, the work that achieves the overall No 1 ranking will be adopted as the expo's official AI image spokesperson. The creator will receive a certificate of honor, one VIP seat at the expo's opening ceremony, and a grand prize of one case (six bottles) of the prestigious 53-degree 500 ml Feitian Moutai.

Second- and third-place winners will each receive two bottles of Feitian Moutai and an opening ceremony guest seat. Fourth- to 10th-place winners will each receive two bottles of the expo's 500 ml souvenir alcoholic beverage.

All participants who successfully submit their entries will be eligible to receive a commemorative gift at the expo venue upon presenting proof of submission.
