Driverless shuttle buses to debut at Big Data Expo 2026

As the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2026 (Big Data Expo 2026) approaches, Guizhou-based autonomous driving pioneer Guizhou Hankaisi Intelligent Technology Co (PIX Moving) will bring an unprecedented and highly immersive driverless shuttle bus fleet to this year's expo.

A total of 25 unmanned shuttle buses will operate regularly on an 8-kilometer public ring road outside Guanshanhu Park, with each full loop lasting about 20 minutes, allowing visitors to experience the smoothness of future mobility along the way.

Among them, five have been transformed into mobile KTV-themed cabins – a concept that, through earlier market validation, proved to be the most popular interactive format among visitors. Passengers can start an immersive karaoke session at any time during the ride.

Currently, the driverless shuttle buses have been in trial operation since the end of April, running on open public roads in Guanshanhu district.

In addition, the expo venue will feature two special display vehicles: a mobile retail-themed vehicle, equipped with fully automated robots that can brew coffee and craft specialty drinks on-site without any human attendance; and a brand-new four-seat display version, which fully presents the full-scenario design logic of this future-oriented autonomous shuttle bus.

During the expo, PIX Moving also plans to integrate Guizhou's local specialty foods, premium coffee, and urban cultural creative products into the unmanned shuttle bus experience. This will showcase Guiyang's digital technology and urban cultural tourism highlights to global visitors, and allow riders to enjoy authentic Guizhou flavors and take home the sense of technology – all in one driverless journey.

From Aug 28 to 30, at the Big Data Expo 2026, residents and attendees can experience this futuristic ride on the streets of Guiyang, brought to life straight out of a sci-fi movie.
