What to try: The center features trendy stand-up paddle (SUP) and kayaking. Adults can take their children, paddle in hand, and glide slowly across the emerald waters, weaving through the verdant hills and clear streams for endless fun.
Price: Extremely affordable. The experience offers all-day unlimited access, with single-person SUP and kayaking priced at just 50 yuan.
Transportation advantage: Only a 20-minute drive from downtown Guiyang, making it an easy weekend getaway.
Summer-exclusive: A romantic date with the lotus
A visit to Shilihetan in summer would be incomplete without appreciating the local lotus, which are a must-see.
Best viewing period: The lotus flowers mainly bloom from late June till mid-to-late July. During this time, the Yuhuan Yaobi scenic spot within the park transforms into a cool pink ocean.
Green retreat: Enjoy a natural 20 C air conditioner
The reputation of "Cool Guiyang" is well deserved. In summer, Shilihetan is a natural oxygen bar filled with lush greenery. In early summer, the trees and grass along both sides of the river are verdant and luxuriant, offering a soothing sight for the eyes.
Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the riverbank boardwalks, feeling the gentle river breeze; relax in the shade with a book or a chat; or cycle along the riverside, savoring the joy of chasing the wind. Families can also bring their children to play in the shallow waters by the riverbank, fully enjoying the leisurely summer vibe.
