The Xiye Outdoor Camp Cluster in Taoyuan village, Xiuwen county, Guiyang, opened on June 27, having transformed an idle, desolate riverside wasteland into an immersive one-stop outdoor retreat combining light trekking, glamping, family-friendly activities, and mountain leisure.
The cluster features a 7-kilometer-long valley hiking trail connecting three themed camps – Binhe, Xipan, and Jiushi – that complement one another with distinct characteristics. The entire route is suitable for all ages, thanks to its flat terrain and lack of steep sections.

At the starting point of the hike, Binhe Camp sits adjacent to the Taoyuanhe Hot Springs, with its large capacity and diverse amenities, including Lazha coffee, barbecue dining, and family-friendly recreation, making it the top choice for weekend getaways.
Three kilometers in, Xipan Camp is nestled among the mountains and waters, featuring afternoon tea by the creek and refined camping experiences, ideal for small team-building events, gatherings with friends and family, and social-media-worthy photo spots.
At the 4.5-km mark, Jiushi Camp adheres to a low-intervention, eco-friendly development philosophy, rejecting over-commercialization to preserve the natural mountain landscape as much as possible, offering outdoor enthusiasts a pure, immersive wilderness hiking and camping experience.
The project is independently invested in, constructed, and operated by a Taoyuan village collective holding enterprise, adhering throughout to a model led by the village collective with extensive participation from locals. This approach has effectively revitalized underutilized resources such as riverbanks, wasteland, and vacant plots.
Through a comprehensive mechanism for linking and benefiting farmers, villagers can achieve stable income increases through various channels, including land transfer, nearby employment, stall operations, and supplying specialty agricultural products, thereby sharing in the dividends of industrial development.
