The Baiyun "1958" Cultural Tourism Block in Guiyang's Baiyun district opened on June 27 on the former site of the old Baiyun District Cultural Palace and Baiyun Passenger Station. Through functional repurposing of the old factory area, it has organically integrated the preservation of industrial heritage with emerging commercial formats, achieving a seamless connection between urban memory and modern life.

While retaining the original architectural texture and historical character of the site, the block has introduced diverse new business formats, including immersive theaters, national trend dining, craft beer bars, and family-friendly arcade gaming, establishing a full-day consumption chain that combines "living hub, social hotspot, and night-economy showcase".

Beyond culinary offerings, activities within the block have also drawn large crowds, with interactive events such as the ZXMOTO Limited-Time Exhibition, immersive retro garden parties, enthusiastic fist-guessing competitions, and watermelon-eating contests.

The block has already attracted over 100 brands, with business formats covering dining, retail, and entertainment.

Yu Guangyong, general manager of the block, stated that the block will continue to utilize business innovation and event-driven traffic as key drivers, promoting a comprehensive transformation from an "industrial rust belt" to a "live lifestyle showcase". The project aims to provide a replicable, scalable, practical model for urban renewal and the integrated development of culture, commerce, and tourism in Guiyang.
