The 2026 China Brewers Cup Championship (CBrC) is set to take place in Guiyang from July 16 to 19, marking the first time this prestigious event has been hosted in the city.

The 2026 CBrC circuit has spanned 11 months, covering nine regions across the country and serving as a key qualifying pathway to the World Brewers Cup Championship (WBrC).

The WBrC consists of two rounds: the compulsory service and the open service. Both rounds test competitors' comprehensive brewing skills from multiple dimensions, making it a competition that blends performance artistry with professional excellence.

In the compulsory service, all competitors use the same batch of coffee beans, grinder, and brewing water provided by the organizers. However, brewing equipment may be chosen by the competitors themselves.

In the open service, competitors deliver a performance-style presentation, showcasing their creativity and expressing their own concepts and narratives.

A food market and a coffee market will be held during the event, with the "Guiyang Invites Champions for Coffee" initiative bringing competitors and winners from regional preliminaries nationwide to local commercial districts for specialty coffee tastings and to explore Guiyang's coffee business environment, fostering industry exchange and collaboration.

Organizers also plan to launch a "World Coffee Champions Residency Month" in partnership with the Guiyang Coffee Industry Association, where world-class coffee champions will be invited to Guiyang for visits and exchanges, including technique-sharing sessions and performance demonstrations.

This initiative aims to further elevate Guiyang's coffee service standards and lay a solid foundation for establishing Guiyang's coffee standard system, technical training programs, and certification credentials.
