The exhibition features works by French artist Diane Collongues, created during her artistic residency last year in Rongjiang county, Guizhou province. The collection showcases textile art, cyanotype photography, and black-and-white photography.

Among the exhibits, the tapestries created by Diane that combines French linen with China's Dong ethnic cotton fabrics, and multiple textile pieces incorporating Dong ethnic patterns, reflect the fusion of ethnic craftsmanship and a humanistic spirit between the two nations.

Diane said the most beautiful part of her stay was the people she met along the way. She said she hopes the culture and craftsmanship of the Dong and Miao ethnic groups in Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture can reach a wider French audience, and that she looks forward to more French artists coming to Guizhou for artistic residencies.

In 2026, the Festival Croisements will present over 300 artistic events across more than 40 cities in China. The "BLUE/S" Art Exhibition in Guiyang stands as a vivid example of China-France cultural exchange, with craftsmanship serving as the bridge that brings the two civilizations together.
