The Colorful Guizhou Marathon Super League (Third Station) & Guiyang Marathon 2026 took place on June 14. A total of 25,000 runners from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China, as well as 27 countries and regions worldwide, raced through the city, experiencing the unique charm of "Cool Guiyang".

The event featured two main categories: the full marathon (42.195 kilometers) and the half marathon (21.0975 km). A record-breaking 182,570 people registered online, an all-time high for the event and demonstrating the city's growing appeal.

After intense competition, Ethiopian runners Abdulwokil and Haile claimed the men's title and runner-up with times of 2:15:13 and 2:15:55 respectively. Kenyan runner Joei took third place with a time of 2:16:53.

In the women's full marathon, Ethiopian runner Fikrte won the championship with a time of 2:29:04, breaking the event record. Her compatriots Kolole and Betelhem finished second and third with times of 2:30:32 and 2:37:13 respectively.

Among domestic Chinese runners in the full marathon, Guizhou's Hong Yue, Guan Yousheng, and Cen Wanjiang took the men's top three spots with times of 2:19:21, 2:20:09, and 2:21:32. In the women's domestic category, Guizhou's Pan Sufang and Zhang Shanshan finished first and second with times of 2:45:34 and 2:49:04, while Hunan porovince's Huang Fei took third with 2:49:43.

In the half marathon, three Guizhou runners swept the men's podium: Zheng Hong (1:07:10), Li Xinyu (1:07:17), and Mao Piao (1:08:58). In the women's half marathon, Sichuan province's Ma Xiuzhen claimed the champion title with 1:15:34, followed by Shandong province's Wang Wentian (1:17:26) and Guizhou's Wang Meiqin (1:18:38).
