Water lilies paint Guiyang's Huaguoyuan Wetland Park

Locals and tourists are gathering at Huaguoyuan Wetland Park in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, to admire the beautiful blooming water lilies.

It is currently peak season for the park's water lilies, whose red, white, yellow, and purple petals lie quietly on the lake, adding a unique charm to the park. The stunning floral scenery has attracted many locals and tourists to stop and enjoy the view.

Water lilies bloom in the morning and close in the evening. Because of their gorgeous appearance and the way they rest quietly on the water's surface, they are also called the "sleeping beauty of flowers". With their unique elegance, water lilies have become a must-have flower in traditional Chinese garden landscapes.
