As a core event hosted by the WBL and included in the official world boxing calendar, the WBL World Cup is a major global competition. The China station, to be held from June 15 to 21 at the Guiyang Olympic Sports Center, marks the first time the tournament has been staged in China.
The competition will feature a total of 20 weight categories for men and women, attracting elite boxers from 54 countries and regions, including numerous Olympic, world, and continental champions.
Among China's national team are Guizhou-born boxers Yang Chengyu, Wu Yu, and Mo Changning. This marks the first time in many years that Guizhou's male boxers will stand on the world's top podium, fully demonstrating the province's deep-rooted boxing tradition and fighting spirit.

As the host city, Guiyang will ensure the event's smooth and safe operation through comprehensive security measures, traffic coordination, food safety, medical emergency response, weather warnings, and emergency handling.
The city will also host a series of activities in conjunction with the Dragon Boat Festival, including light shows, drone performances, and cultural and sports festivities. These will be linked to mass-participation events such as youth boxing promotional matches and street challenge tournaments, igniting a citywide carnival of sports and entertainment.
Boxing-themed photo spots will be set up in major commercial districts and popular landmarks across the city, and well-known boxers will be invited to participate in a charity campus tour to popularize boxing knowledge and promote the spirit of sportsmanship.
