Mobile coffee shop from Guiyang highlighted at F1 Shanghai

During the recently concluded 2026 Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, an unexpected star emerged outside the racetrack – a mobile coffee experience space created by Guizhou Hankaisi Intelligent Technology Co (PIX Moving), an enterprise based in Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

The self-driving minibus, equipped with an automated coffee system, became the most soothing and eye-catching tech highlight of the event.

This viral vehicle is PIX Moving's first mass-produced passenger-carrying product. Breaking away from traditional automotive design, it has no cockpit, steering wheel, pedals, or rearview mirrors. With a symmetrical body that eliminates the distinction between front and back, the vehicle can easily drive in either direction.

This "coffee shop on wheels" seamlessly integrates automated coffee brewing and vending with mobility. It flips the traditional "people looking for stores" model on its head – instead of customers searching for coffee, the minibus actively navigates to crowds based on heat map data, delivering fresh brews wherever people gather.

According to a Pix Moving staff member, the company will launch its Qiyu Loop commercial pilot operation in Guiyang's Guanshanhu district in the second quarter of this year. The loop will connect key business districts, ecological parks, and large residential communities in Guanshanhu. With just a one-click call, residents will soon be able to enjoy new experiences – from mobile dressing rooms and mobile shopping to relaxation spaces – all inside a self-driving minibus.
