Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) has been included in the list of National Intellectual Property (IP) Service Industry High-quality Cluster Development Demonstration Zones, making it the only one of its kind in Guizhou province.

This selection marks a new stage in Guiyang's efforts to build a modern IP service system and support regional innovation-driven development.

In recent years, Guiyang HIDZ has consistently positioned IP as a key support for regional core competitiveness and high-quality development, systematically advancing the full-chain ecosystem of IP creation, protection, application, management, and service.

Focusing on key areas such as high-value patent cultivation, IP operations and transformation, financial support, and rights protection assistance, Guiyang HIDZ has developed a comprehensive, precisely targeted policy framework, providing solid institutional guarantees for the cluster development of the IP service industry.

By the end of 2025, Guiyang HIDZ had granted 18,734 patents, including 4,100 valid invention patents and 8,404 registered trademarks, and was home to 11 patent agencies and 29 trademark agencies.

Six Guiyang HIDZ enterprises were designated as National IP Demonstration Enterprises in 2025, accounting for 33.3 percent of the provincial total and 54.5 percent of Guiyang, fully demonstrating the region's strong innovation vitality and IP work achievements.
