Spring has arrived at Ahahu National Wetland Park, a cherished wetland oasis for Guiyang residents. The park is brimming with life, with spring breezes brushing the pavilions and early flowers beginning to show, from plum blossoms braving the winter chill to magnolias and winter jasmine unfurling in the warming air. Migratory birds also dance and play across the park's waters, creating a picturesque spring scene that celebrates the harmony between humans and nature.

Over 1,000 plum trees across more than 10 varieties are currently blossoming throughout the park, with their subtle fragrance drifting on the breeze and captivating all who visit. Strolling among the blooms, visitors pause to take photos, immersing in the tender gift of early spring, surrounded by the gentle wind and the flowers' perfume.
As plum blossoms announce the arrival of spring, flower-viewing at Aha Lake reaches its peak season, with white magnolias, saucer magnolias, flowering quince, and winter jasmine trees now heavily adorned with blooms.
By mid-to-late April, the Azalea Valley will also reach its spectacular peak, with rhododendrons cascading over the verdant hillsides in a riot of color, as if nature itself has spilled its palette across the landscape. By May, the romantic atmosphere continues with entwined roses and the first glimpses of hydrangeas.
In springtime, Aha Lake is not only an ideal spot for admiring flowers and birdwatching but also serves as a "city living room" for residents to relax and unwind. As an important ecological barrier and the "green lung" of Guiyang, it features shimmering blue waters and flower-lined banks. The sight of hundreds of birds in flight against the lakes and mountains embodies the city's ecological foundation, weaving poetry into the daily lives of Guiyang's people and displaying the beauty of nature intertwined with humanistic warmth.
