Passenger flow during this travel season is primarily composed of migrant workers, students, and family visitors, characterized by a concentrated pre-holiday homebound flow and an overlapping post-holiday return flow.

Based on regional travel patterns and passenger flow analysis, projections from Guiyang Railway Station indicate that the three major stations under its jurisdiction – Guiyangbei, Guiyangdong, and Guiyang – are expected to handle a total of 5.15 million passenger trips. This represents an average of 128,700 daily trips, a 5.15 percent year-on-year increase, and a new record.

To meet passenger demand, Guiyang's railway stations have optimized train schedules and transport capacity, ensuring ample and efficient service. Given weekend passenger flow fluctuations and winter travel patterns, additional temporary and overnight high-speed train services will be scheduled as needed to address capacity shortages on high-demand routes.

Guiyangbei Railway Station plans to add 160 electric multiple units (EMUs), Guiyangdong Railway Station plans to add 94 EMUs, and Guiyang Railway Station plans to add 64 extra trains. These measures aim to meet passengers' personalized travel needs and provide robust transport capacity to manage the festival's peak travel period.
