The finals and award ceremony of the third Guiyang Cross-Border E-commerce Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition took place on Nov 16.
The competition aimed to stimulate youth entrepreneurship and innovation enthusiasm, cultivate professional talent in cross-border e-commerce, and promote the integration of Guizhou's characteristic industries with cross-border e-commerce.
Since launching in August, the competition has organized 22 promotional sessions across 11 universities and colleges in Guizhou province, attracting 2,662 young participants with 2,194 individuals registering to compete.
Twenty shortlisted teams delivered roadshow presentations in a draw order, promoting Guizhou's high-quality goods and other products.
After the competition, one champion, one runner-up, and one second runner-up were selected, along with two excellence awards. On-site audiences also voted via QR code to choose the popularity award.
Beyond a top entrepreneurial support fund of 20,000 yuan, the reward system was closely linked to industrial incubation, aiding the implementation of outstanding projects and the local conversion of talent to promote integrated "competition-cultivation-incubation-promotion" development.
All members of the 20 finalist groups will be included in the Guiyang Cross-Border E-commerce Talent Pool. They can also sign contracts with the China (Guiyang) Cross-Border E-commerce Public Service Center to become Guiyang Cross-Border E-commerce Promotion Ambassadors.
Guiyang will continue to optimize its cross-border e-commerce environment and will provide comprehensive services for youth entrepreneurship projects, helping more entrepreneurs realize their dreams and promoting the expansion and structural optimization of Guiyang's cross-border e-commerce industry.
