Guiyang shines at China Specialty Tourism Commodities Competition

The 2025 China Specialty Tourism Commodities Competition recently concluded in Xining, Qinghai province. During the event, Guizhou province delivered an outstanding performance, securing an impressive total of seven gold, 10 silver, and 16 bronze medals.

Among these achievements, Guiyang stood out, earning two gold, six silver, and five bronze medals, which highlights the competitiveness of its unique tourism products.

The city's award-winning products covered a diverse range of categories, including electronic tech gadgets, cultural and creative items, health products, and artisan crafts.

Since 2021, Guiyang has been continuously advancing its tourism commodities sector, organizing and recommending over 1,000 products for national and provincial competitions, culminating in a cumulative total of 164 medals. In 2025, the city achieved a record high by winning 62 awards – a significant year-on-year increase of 121.43 percent.

These products, which blend rich ethnic culture with creative design, are driving the transformation of Guiyang's tourism commodities from "traditional handicrafts" to "modern cultural creative products." They have become a significant force in fueling the high-quality development of the local culture and tourism industry.
