The China-US Youth Basketball Invitational and People-to-People Exchange Camp (Guizhou) event recently took place in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
A group of students and coaches from the Utah Prep Academy's boy basketball team visited a series of local landmarks, including the Guizhou Long March Digital Art Memorial (Hongpiaodai), Jiaxiu Pavilion, and Qianlingshan Park, experiencing Guiyang's natural beauty and rich cultural heritage while gaining a close-up view of the city's unique charm.
On Oct 12, upon arriving in Guiyang, the team's first stop was Hongpiaodai. The museum, which is China's first fully immersive digital experience museum focusing on the Long March, employs cutting-edge technologies such as AI interaction, holographic imaging, and an 8K dome cinema to vividly recreate the epic journey of the Long March against the backdrop of Guizhou's stunning landscapes.

That same day, the group also sampled Guizhou's signature dishes, including sour soup fish and sour soup beef, before visiting the landmark Jiaxiu Pavilion. Strolling around the pavilion, the group was impressed by the blend of the historic building's classical charm with the modern city nightscape.
On Oct 14, the group visited Qianlingshan Park in Guiyang's Yunyan district. The park, with its lush forests and fresh air, is home to playful macaques leaping among the treetops, the popular pig-tailed macaque Duoduo, and the giant panda Xingbao. The unique natural scenery offered a relaxing and enjoyable experience, with many participants capturing the harmony between humans and nature through their cameras.
