2025 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week highlights global partnerships

The 2025 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, brought together universities, enterprises, and research institutions from China and beyond to deepen collaboration in education, science, and talent development.

Five institutions, including Guizhou Communications Polytechnic University, launched the "Guijiang Workshop" alliance. The alliance's cooperation and exchange forum attracted over 110 representatives from China, Thailand, Cambodia, and other countries.

Guizhou University and Guizhou University of Finance and Economics signed seven agreements with partners such as Cardiff University in the United Kingdom and the University of Economics and Finance in Ho Chi Minh City. Guizhou University of Finance and Economics also unveiled three new joint practice bases for industry-academia-research collaboration with domestic tech firms.

Guizhou Normal University and three other institutions signed agreements with ASEAN counterparts to promote joint teacher training and resource sharing. Guiyang Preschool Education College partnered with Cambodia's Early Childhood Teacher Training Center and Thailand's Lampang Rajabhat University to expand cooperation in teacher education and Chinese language programs respectively.

From vocational education and industry collaboration to teacher training, the event strengthened China-ASEAN education ties and advanced global cooperation.
