On Aug 28, at the "Data Infrastructure" exchange during the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2025, the National Data Administration announced that Guiyang's "public data integration infrastructure project" had been selected as part of the second batch of national data infrastructure pilot programs.
The selection marks another national-level affirmation of Guiyang's achievements in advancing national reform of market-oriented allocation of data elements and infrastructure development, injecting new momentum into the city's digital economy.
During the pilot phase, the project will drive technological innovation by integrating approaches, validating standards, and building mechanisms to enable large-scale data circulation and use. It will focus on culture and tourism, the low-altitude economy, and urban governance, creating model application scenarios and forming replicable "Guiyang Practices" and "Guizhou Experience" to expand the country's data industry.
Guiyang will continue to integrate government and enterprise data, promote broader social use, and unlock the value of data to empower social governance modernization and industrial transformation – contributing to national reform of market-oriented allocation of data elements and balanced regional development.
