Qianbei, a restaurant in Nanming district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is bringing together geographical indication (GI) agricultural products from across the province, offering diners an opportunity to experience the region's diverse mountain flavors through modern Guizhou cuisine.

With nearly three decades of experience in cooking up and experimenting with Guizhou cuisine, Qianbei centers its menu on locally sourced signature ingredients from different parts of the province.

Dishes feature products such as Rongjiang free-range chicken, Guanling beef, Zhijin bamboo fungus and wild mushrooms, Kaili fermented chili peppers, and other regional specialties.

The restaurant combines traditional Guizhou cooking techniques – including sour soup fermentation, slow stewing, and pickled chili preparation – with contemporary presentation. It has also introduced new dishes using locally produced ingredients such as rosa roxburghii and job's tears.

Covering 1,300 square meters, the restaurant includes 22 private dining rooms and incorporates Guizhou cultural elements such as batik, bamboo weaving, and mountain-inspired decorations, creating an immersive dining environment.
