Companies seek greater cooperation in '5 excellence' industries in Nanming

Guiyang's Nanming district recently hosted a promotion and matchmaking conference for its emerging "Five Excellence" industries, bringing together more than 70 companies to explore new business opportunities and consumption trends.

Organized by the Nanming district bureau of commerce, the event highlighted the district's strategy to upgrade urban consumption and transform high visitor traffic into long-term quality-driven growth.

The "Five Excellence" model focuses on five lifestyle sectors: specialty coffee, craft beer, refined dining, creative cultural products, and boutique hospitality. Nanming aims to build a vibrant urban consumption ecosystem centered on quality experiences.

During the conference, major local commercial platforms and business operators showcased premium retail spaces, cultural venues, and lifestyle-oriented consumption scenarios across the district, demonstrating Nanming's growing appeal as a modern consumption destination in Southwest China.

Representatives from local brands, including coffee shops, craft breweries, and Guizhou snack innovators, shared business experiences and discussed how niche lifestyle industries are creating new market opportunities and attracting younger consumers.

The event also featured face-to-face business negotiations and policy consultation sessions, allowing companies to connect directly with government departments and commercial carriers to improve cooperation efficiency and accelerate project matchmaking.

Officials said Nanming will continue improving its business environment, streamlining enterprise services, and strengthening communication channels between the government and businesses to support enterprises' long-term growth.
