Nanming strengthens urban economy and enhances development

This year, Nanming district in Guiyang has made significant strides in its urban economy. Rapid growth in enterprise headquarters, innovative development in commercial building economies, and comprehensive expansion in commercial trade have brought notable economic and social benefits.

This year, Nanming has welcomed three new enterprise headquarters, with contracts totaling 873 million yuan ($120.18 million). The district's overall occupancy rate of commercial buildings has exceeded 73 percent.

Major commercial complexes like Guiyang MixC and Dolphin Plaza have opened, introducing over 230 flagship stores.

In the third quarter, the district's total retail sales reached 51.62 billion yuan, marking a 4.5 percent year-on-year increase, the highest in the city.

In March, at the China Building Economy High-Quality Development Summit held in Beijing, Guiyang Twin Towers in Nanming was recognized as an outstanding commercial building and ranked in the 2024 "Top 50 Chinese Commercial Buildings."

Nanming was also honored with the 2024 China High-Quality Development Demonstration District Award for its achievements in commercial building economy.

On Sept 13, at the 2024 China Commercial Building Economy Beijing Forum, Nanming was named a "2024 China Building Economy Standard Leading Demonstration District," marking its third consecutive recognition.
