This year, Nanming district in Guiyang has stepped up its efforts in ecological and environmental protection, implementing a series of robust measures that have yielded significant results.
From January to September, the district's air quality was rated excellent on 99.6 percent of days. The compliance rates for national and provincial water quality monitoring sites, the quality of county-level centralized drinking water sources, the safe utilization rate of key construction land, the compliance rate of groundwater at national monitoring points, and the non-hazardous disposal rate of medical waste all maintained a perfect 100 percent.
Meanwhile, 12 sewage treatment plants continued to operate normally, keeping the domestic sewage treatment rate above 98 percent.
Projects like the dual-purpose Yinma Lake Reclaimed Water Plant have made significant progress, enhancing sewage treatment efficiency and achieving 100 percent compliance in effluent discharge, greatly aiding in water quality improvement.

In terms of river management, comprehensive efforts have led to significant improvements in the water quality of the Nanming River. The sewage treatment rate in the Nanming River Basin has now exceeded 95 percent, effectively resolving the issue of black and odorous water.
Additionally, the district has rigorously enforced the "river chief system," ensuring regular monitoring and protection of important rivers like the Nanming River to ensure continuous water quality improvement.
For lakes, forests, and wetlands, Nanming has consistently focused on the ecological protection of areas such as Aha Lake National Wetland Park, Yunguan Mountain Forest Park, and Xiaoche River Wetland Park, safeguarding the district's ecological health.
