An international tea symposium between China and South Korea was held in the Nanming district of Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Nov 29.
It attracted the participation of cultural scholars from tea organizations, research and academic institutes, and companies from South Korea and Guizhou.
During the event, Chinese and South Korean guests experienced the tea arts of both countries and jointly paid tribute to the tea sage Lu Yu.
Meanwhile, senior tea culture scholars from China and South Korea shared the aesthetics of Chinese and Korean tea culture. They exchanged ideas on the similarities and differences and the significance of enhancing tea culture exchanges between the two countries.
Choi Seok-hwan, president of the South Korea International SUNCHA Research Association, expressed that the event has continued the historical connection between Chinese and Korean tea culture. He hopes it will serve as a new starting point, spreading Zen tea culture worldwide.
