The results of the 2023 China Small and Medium Cities High-quality Development Index Research Report were released recently, with a series of lists being published.
Nanming district in Guiyang city has been selected among the top 100 districts in terms of its comprehensive strength, green development, investment potential, and technological innovation for 2023.
Jointly released by the China Small and Medium Cities Development Index Research Group and the Guoxin Small and Medium Cities Index Research Institute, the comprehensive strength index indicator system evaluates the district using five criteria: economic development, innovation-driven development, ecological environment, people's livelihood and welfare, as well as urban and rural governance, with a total of 15 secondary indicators.
The green development index is divided into four primary indicators: resource conservation, green consumption, pollution control, and environmental quality, with a total of 19 secondary indicators.
A city's investment potential reflects multiple factors, including urban infrastructure, economic vitality, social environment, and market environment.
Consequently, the investment potential index research sets five primary indicators: population and human resources, infrastructure, transportation location, ecological environment, and administrative efficiency, involving 20 secondary indicators.
The research group evaluates small and medium-sized cities' technological innovation capabilities, focusing on four key domains: technological innovation platforms, technological innovation potential, technological innovation input, and technological innovation outcomes.
