The Construction Engineering Quality Inspection Industry Testing Officer Competition, part of the 2023 Guizhou Skills Competition, was successfully held in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 23-25.
The competition aimed to improve the practical skills of professionals in the construction engineering quality testing industry.
The competition included testing the thickness of structural entity reinforcement protection layers and spacing, testing the depth of structural entity cracks, and the ultrasonic testing of welds in building steel structures.
A total of 156 competitors from 61 participating units in the province competed for 91 awards in three competition categories.
This year, Guizhou Construction Science Research and Design Institute Limited Company of CSCEC, a company from Nanming district, sent four participants.
Huang Yuhan won first place in the all-around competition, He Maohan won first place in testing the thickness of structural entity reinforcement protection layers and spacing, and Zhang Xianyun won second place in testing the depth of structural entity cracks. Huang Xingjia finished third in the ultrasonic testing of welds in building steel structures.
The research institute also won first place in the Excellent Organization Award.
