The "Cool Guiyang" culture and tourism brand's new IP, the Qingyun Market, has achieved two new records in the first five months of this year.
From January to May, the market's sales exceeded 100 million yuan ($14.27 million), and the total number of visits surpassed 3 million. During the five-day May Day holiday, the market hosted over 300,000 visits, with more than 80,000 visiting on the first day alone.
As the first one-stop experience comprehensive block in Guizhou, the Qingyun Market covers over 60 mu (4 hectares) and is located in the Nanming district of Guiyang city.
It is a commercial project transformed from an old factory area and reaches its peak of business during nighttime hours, opening 24 hours a day.

Transformation of the project has continued the residents' memory of the "late-night canteen" since the 1980s. It has since attracted the settlement of 265 market players, becoming the first internet-famous landmark on the Qingyun Road.
Highly photogenic shops can be seen everywhere in the Qingyun Market, from nighttime libraries, beverage stores, and cultural and creative shops to miniature soft landscape spaces composed of various new plant products. The beautiful and comfortable street views attract visitors to take selfies and document their experiences.
"Except for holidays, the Qingyun Market receives more than 20,000 visits from Monday to Thursday and over 35,000 on weekends. Customers of all ages can find their ideal shopping scene here," said Zhang Fenglan, the director of investment and operation of Qingyun Market.
It is worth mentioning that the Qingyun Market has received honors, such as the 2021 Guiyang special business street, the 2022 provincial-level nighttime economic gathering zone, and the provincial-level tourism leisure street since it opened.
