Spring brings a splash of color to Nanming

The beautiful flowers in Nanming district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, are more than enough to attract tourists from all over the country.

Nanming is brimming with vibrant colors and floral fragrances, and the district's spring scenery is at its most beautiful in March.

Peach blossoms, cherry blossoms and begonias are among the most popular flowers to see in Nanming during this period.

The district's Yongle township is the most recommended place to admire peach blossoms.

Yongle township is only 10 kilometers away from the central urban area of Guiyang city, and it is only half an hour away by car.

There are more than 100,000 peach blossom trees in Yongle township, covering an area of over 10,000 mu.

The trees are mainly distributed between Shuitang, Ganjing and Yongle villages.

The peach blooms are estimated to reach their peak within a 10-day period, so potential visitors should consider March 10 to 20 as the best time to see these blossoms.

Additionally, the banks along the Nanming section of the Nanming River and the areas around the Jiaxiu Pavilion are perfect places to view the cherry blossoms and begonias.

Every March and April, white and pink flowers decorate the river banks, luring tourists to enjoy the charming spring scenery.

It's worth mentioning that the Jiaxiu Pavilion, which is situated near the Nanming River, is a cultural landmark of Guiyang. 

The 22.9-meter-high pavilion has three floors, three eaves and four angles on the roof. A 90-meter- long bridge going through the pavilion connects the two banks. 

The pavilion has more than 400 years of history and was listed in the sixth batch of national key cultural relics for protection by the State Council.
