A groundbreaking ceremony for the key first-quarter projects in Nanming district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was held on Feb 27.
A total of 15 projects started construction that same day, and the investment volume of these projects exceeded 12.4 billion yuan ($1.85 billion).
The projects involve fields such as electronic information manufacturing, industrial parks, digital economy, urban renewal, and people's livelihoods.

Among them are five new industrialization projects with a total investment of 4.4 billion yuan; five new urbanization projects with a total investment of 6.69 billion yuan; two tourism industrialization projects with a total investment of 853 million yuan; and three livelihood infrastructure projects with an investment of 4.84 billion yuan billion.
