Nanming to advance construction of education research institute

The Nanming district government and the Center for Teacher Education Research of Beijing Normal University (CTER) held a meeting on Feb 4 to advance the construction of the Nanming Education Research Institute and boost the high-quality development of Nanming's education sector.

CTER is the only national key research institute engaged in teacher education research and focuses on talent cultivation, academic research, policy consultation and exploring new teaching practices.

In June 2022, CTER signed a contract with the Nanming district government. According to the deals, the two parties will cooperate to build the Nanming Education Research Institute and the affiliated experimental school of the institute from April 2022 to April 2027.

At the meeting, CTER Director Zhu Xudong shared and exchanged ideas on the main tasks of the Nanming Education Research Institute.

He said that CTER will give full play to the advantages of high-quality teacher education resources, help Nanming cultivate a team of influential local experts in the province and the country as a whole, reconstruct Nanming's high-quality educational system, and regularly hold educational development exchange forums.
