Nanming preferential policies boost economic recovery

Amid the lingering impact of the COVID-19, Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has made strong efforts to boost the recovery of its economy and advance the development of market players.

This year, Nanming issued the "Guidelines for the Implementation of the National, Provincial and Municipal Measures to Promote the Recovery and Development of Difficult Industries in the Service Industry" and formulated the "Nanming District Market Entities Cultivation and Improvement Plan" to ensure various enterprise relief policies can be implemented.

As of May 31, Nanming has processed tax refunds for 2,763 market entities, with a tax refund amount of 266.74 million yuan ($40.02 million).

It has also postponed the payment of some taxes and fees for 187 small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, with a deferred payment amount of 13.90 million yuan.

Meanwhile, the reform of the '2+2' model of government services in Nanming administrative center has consolidated 180 departmental windows into 101 comprehensive windows, and 190 departmental personnel into 134 comprehensive service personnel, optimizing the approval process and improving service quality.

From Jan 1 to June 14, Nanming added 15,019 new market entities, 6,117 of which were enterprises and 8,902 of which were individual business entities.

To solve the workforce needs of resident enterprises and reduce labor costs, Nanming held special job fairs targeting the 21 universities and colleges in Guiyang, providing around 27,000 job positions, while 4,131 people reaching initial employment intentions in the first five months of this year.

During the same period, Nanming issued 3.43 million yuan in social security subsidies for college graduates, delayed payment of social insurance premiums worth 1.15 million yuan for 30 enterprises, and issued 9.73 million yuan in guaranteed loans to start-ups and 6.55 million yuan in rent subsidies for entrepreneurial places.

The unemployment insurance policy has benefited 16,000 various market entities as well as 122,900 employees and individuals.
