A delegation from the Nanming district education bureau – based in the Nanming district of Guiyang city, in Southwest China's Guizhou province – paid a visit on March 15 to Beijing Normal University in the national capital, to seek cooperation in co-building a comprehensive pilot education reform zone.
At a meeting between the Nanming delegation and the Center for Teacher Education Research of Beijing Normal University, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges.
They talked about research into regional education policies, staff training and improving professional standards, the comprehensive development of students and research on home-school-community collaborative education.
The head of Beijing Normal University's teacher education center addressed the meeting, saying that the cooperation would take into account Nanming's goal of evolving into a district with strong education drivers, realizing educational modernization and offering quality education for its people.
The center is expected to provide academic support in such fields as the construction of platforms, the all-round development of students, research on building teacher teams and construction of an in-service teacher training system.
The Nanming district education bureau invited the center to pay on-site visits to Nanming and expressed the hope it would receive suggestions and opinions about Nanming's educational development.
