Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently issued the "Implementation Plan on Accelerating the Development of Tourism Industrialization."
According to the plan, Nanming aims to improve the quality and benefits of its tourism industry, form an all-for-one tourism model, and build a modern service system.
The district's goals are to build itself into a famous tourism area focusing on ecology, an important national ecological leisure and vacation area, a regional tourism distribution service center, a provincial-level all-for-one tourism demonstration area, and a cultural and tourism consumption demonstration area.
By 2025, the district's total tourism revenue should exceed 80 billion yuan ($12 billion), and the total number of tourist visits should be 27 million. Domestic overnight tourists should number at least 10 million, and inbound overnight tourists should number at least 100,000.
Meanwhile, three cultural tourism festivals and event brands will be cultivated, and two A-level tourist attractions will be built.
Nanming will also build a national fitness center and an ecological sports park, and promote the construction of public stadiums, gymnasiums, and swimming pools.
A total of 19 tasks will be carried out during the period, including the cultivation of tourism market players, the introduction of more enterprises offering high-quality tourism services, and the enrichment of business models in the district's tourism industry.
Nanming will also make efforts to improve the quality of its tourism services and infrastructure construction.
