During the three-day Tomb Sweeping Day on April 3-5, the Nanming district of Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- received 531,200 visits and generated tourism revenue of 424 million yuan ($64.71 million).

Responding to the different situations experienced by tourism and sports businesses in the district, Nanming smoothly conducted key safety inspections at the various cultural and entertainment venues, hotels, scenic spots and sports venues during the break.

The aim was to ensure the safety and stability of the cultural and tourism sector.

The travel sector in Nanming reportedly handled the influx of people diligently and efficiently during the holiday, with no travel safety incidents reported or travel complaints received.
