As the "China Travel" trend continues to gain momentum, China is evolving from a traditional sightseeing destination into a "living destination" that global travelers increasingly aspire to experience.
International influencers from Brazil, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan, and other countries, together with local influencers from Guizhou province, gathered in the provincial capital of Guiyang on July 2 to explore the city's unique appeal as a destination for living and sojourning.
Throughout the tour, they will present a real, multi-dimensional Guiyang from an international perspective through photos, short videos, and vlogs.
Guiyang is located in the heart of central Guizhou and serves as the province's tourism distribution center, a transportation hub for Southwest China, and a national-level tourism hub city. Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport connects the city to the world; its high-speed rail network spans the country; and 13 expressways radiate throughout the province, offering travelers stunning views of the magnificent "World Museum of Bridges".
What captivates visitors most is not only the natural beauty bestowed by the land, but also the lively atmosphere that fills Guiyang's urban and rural areas.
This local pulse is first experienced through the palate, with food serving as a warm cultural bridge connecting people to the city. In the early morning, a steaming bowl of Changwangmian (noodles with pig intestines and blood curd) wakes up the city; late at night, barbecue stalls and roadside noodle shops can easily earn a spot on any "must-eat" list.
Guiyang is home to multiple ethnic groups, with Miao, Bouyei, and others interweaving. During rural trips, visitors can take part in ethnic festivals, learn traditional handicrafts, savor authentic local cuisine, and experience the region's unique traditions.
Over the course of the event, the influencers will visit Guiyang's Guanshanhu, Nanming, Wudang, and Baiyun districts, as well as Qingzhen county-level city, engaging in immersive experiences centered on traditional culture, culture-tourism integration, and intangible cultural heritage, all while discovering the distinctive charm of sojourning in Guiyang.
This event will further enhance the visibility and reputation of Guiyang's "sojourn city" brand among overseas youth and is expected to attract a growing number of international travelers to experience the city for themselves.
