Fiber art exhibition opens in Guiyang

The "Within Touch" Fiber Art Life Experiment Exhibition grandly opened in Guiyang on June 14.

As the country's first full-sensory, touchable, and immersive fiber art exhibition, this event uses "fiber" as its medium to break down the traditional boundaries of art exhibition, bringing art into everyday life and opening a deep dialogue about aesthetics, warmth, and daily living.

The exhibition brings together over 40 top domestic fiber artists, covering a wide range of disciplines including wool weaving, silk embroidery, optical fiber installations, and ancient fiber craftsmanship.

Running until Sept 13, the exhibition is open daily from 10 am to 9 pm, marking the first time a full-day cultural service model combining "daytime viewing + nighttime experience" has been achieved. This not only caters to urban nighttime cultural consumption demand, but also enriches the cultural dimension of Guiyang's "nighttime economy".

Notably, the exhibition is built around the core concept of "Within Touch". Visitors can experience the texture and warmth of fiber materials up close and participate in hands-on workshops in wet felting, punch-needle embroidery, and weaving to create their own fiber artworks.

In addition, the exhibition has independently developed dozens of cultural and creative products inspired by fiber art, spanning categories such as home goods, stationery, apparel, and lifestyle items, helping to bring fiber art into public life through everyday objects.

Themed workshops, artist dialogues, and special nighttime events will also be rolled out, inviting everyone to touch with their hands, feel with their hearts, and explore an authentic connection between art and life through warm textures.
