Qingzhen city has been dedicated to establishing a comprehensive publicity framework to effectively advance the 2026 enrollment and payment process for urban and rural residents' health insurance, with 429,600 residents enrolled since October 2025.
Led by the city's medical insurance bureau, a collaborative system was established involving the government, departments, townships, and villages. Innovative publicity methods were adopted, combining online and offline efforts across traditional and new media to ensure robust support for the enrollment process.
The "Weiguan Qingzhen" platform launched a dedicated column, produced promotional videos, and sent over 900,000 reminder messages to expand outreach, while offline, more than 1,000 promotional sites were set up, distributing over 50,000 informational materials. Targeted services were provided to the elderly and disadvantaged groups, including mobile classes that offered hands-on payment guidance.
The city also promoted health insurance policies through enterprises, schools, communities, and villages, moving service windows closer to residents. Data sharing with civil affairs and rural vitalization departments was enhanced to maintain a dynamic enrollment record for impoverished and monitored populations.
Qingzhen remains committed to enhancing service efficiency, continuously expanding the benefits of health insurance reforms, and effectively strengthening the network for urban and rural residents.
