Qingzhen holds ethnic cultural celebration for Lantern Festival

Qingzhen city hosted an ethnic cultural celebration for the Lantern Festival in Pingyuanshao village on March 1. People from various ethnic groups gathered to celebrate with singing and dancing, showcasing a harmonious blend of cultural traditions.

The event featured three segments: an ethnic costume parade, ethnic cultural performances, and a grand ethnic gathering. It offered a comprehensive display of Qingzhen's diverse cultural charm and the spirit of the modern era, combining entertainment, interaction, and experience.

The celebration began with a colorful ethnic costume parade. Participants from the Han, Miao, Bouyei, Gelao, and Yi ethnic groups donned their respective traditional attire, singing and dancing along the way, highlighting the diversity and unity of Qingzhen.

The ethnic cultural performances segment featured 16 outstanding programs. The performances opened with an impressive dragon dance, followed by a series of different dances, solo singing, and ethnic fashion shows, captivating visitors with their creativity and energy.

The grand ethnic gathering included three interactive zones: the People's Stage, Fun Activities Area, and Food Sharing Zone, transforming spectators into participants and elevating the festive atmosphere. 

The Fun Activities Area buzzed with traditional games like lantern riddle guessing and ring tossing, while in the Food Sharing Zone, attendees made tangyuan and pounded ciba, crafting traditional delicacies by hand.

This Lantern Festival celebration fostered interaction and integration among different ethnic groups. Qingzhen plans to continue enriching cultural activities, promoting unity and collaboration through further cultural exchange.
