Qingzhen sees fruitful results during 14th Five-Year Plan period

Qingzhen city's economic and social sectors have achieved remarkable progress in promoting integrated industrial development, advancing county urbanization, and increasing citizens' incomes as the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) concludes.

Central to Qingzhen's strategy is its focus on industrial planning. The city has made significant advances in industrial development, project construction, and investment attraction. Regional GDP has increased from 28.09 billion yuan ($3.98 billion) in 2020 to an estimated 36.5 billion yuan in 2025, marking a 30 percent growth.

The city has implemented a new urbanization plan, coordinating urban and rural infrastructure development. This includes achieving full coverage of gigabit broadband and 5G networks and improving rural sewage treatment to 80.7 percent, significantly enhancing the quality of life in both urban and rural areas.

In public services, Qingzhen has established 11 "15-minute living circles", providing accessible education, healthcare, shopping, and fitness resources. Efforts to address parking issues have led to the renovation of 30 parking facilities.

Regarding housing improvements, the city has advanced the renovation of shantytowns, old neighborhoods, and backstreets, completing 17 shantytown projects and benefiting 3,551 households.

In environmental governance, Qingzhen has consistently increased investment, achieving a 100 percent urban sewage treatment rate and maintaining urban air quality at an excellent rate of over 99.5 percent.

Qingzhen will continue to prioritize high-quality development, deepen industrial planning, and further elevate its economic and social progress.
