As a CFA-certified event, the Open's debut in Qingzhen fills a local void in hosting fencing competitions. It helps promote the sport and serves as a platform for Qingzhen to showcase its regional charm through sports.

In recent years, Qingzhen has used its favorable climate and rich cultural tourism resources to integrate sports events with the tourism industry. Hosting this fencing open will further enhance the city's sports tourism brand, supporting Guiyang's ambition to become a model city for sports-tourism integration in Southwest China.
