Qingzhen adjusts development layout

The Guizhou Provincial People's Government has approved adjusting the location of Qingzhen Economic Development Zone.

Aluminum processing industries dominate Qingzhen Economic Development Zone, and its main economic indicators rank high among Guizhou's provincial-level development zones. Its honors include being named a National Green Industry Demonstration Base and a National Green Park.

Although the zone's area will decrease to 14.48 square kilometers after this year's adjustment, there will be positive changes in park integration, industrial land use rate, and comprehensive development level.

Qingzhen Economic Development Zone has optimized the area based on the opinions of natural resources, ecology, forestry, and water affairs departments. The Zhanjie, Weicheng, and Hewangzhuang parks in Qingzhen Economic Development Zone have been adjusted to include Chaofeng Park, forming a "one zone, four parks" layout. The industrial land use rate has also increased from 82.95 percent to 85.33 percent.

"The main areas reduced are non-industrial areas such as mountains and villages that cannot be utilized, while industrial land has been added. The adjustment is more conducive to promoting high-quality park development," said Xiong Wanjiang, head of Qingzhen Economic Development Zone's planning and construction department.

The newly added Chaofeng Park is five kilometers from Qingzhen's central area and adjacent to Gui'an New Area. It relies on investment in standard factory buildings of about 200,000 square meters. The park will become the main battlefield for Qingzhen to promote Guiyang and Gui'an's integrated development.
